A passion for Asia brought me into the travel industry about 20 years ago. After trying a variety of different things, I happily found my place designing and selling customized travel to exotic destinations for both individuals and groups. I have now been with Vision World Tours for over 17 years, and I still love what I do!
My main passions remain Asia and shopping. Over the years my travels have taken me to China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, Taiwan, India and Sri Lanka. Though I feel most at home in Hong Kong (I think I’ve been there at least 20 times!), closest to my heart are Japan, India and China, to which I travel as often as possible.
When not traveling in Asia, I have also managed to visit Antarctica, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, France, Italy, the UK, Belgium and Austria.
Why do I love selling travel? I really enjoy talking with people, finding out how they like to spend their time, what is important to them, and designing an itinerary to suit individual needs and interests. More than anything else, though – I love to share the places I love with others. Whether it be luxury or back to basics, travel is a wonderful, mind-expanding thing. It may not always be perfect (and exotic travel often isn’t), but the experiences can change you – how you think, what you feel, and how you live your life.
In addition to custom-designing travel for individuals, I operate my own ‘Saffron Journeys’ small group trips; 2009 destinations include Japan, India, China and Argentina & Brazil. Come, join one of my journeys, or better yet, let me design your own perfect travel experience.
