  As a long-established travel advisor, I have three passions:  scuba travel, trips with a genealogy focus, and river cruising.  Though these are three vastly different ways and reasons to travel, I find each has its own fascination and take great satisfaction in planning them.

  My devotion to scuba comes with over 20 years as an owner of a dive shop in the Muskoka cottage country north of Toronto. My own dive experience has taken me to some of the top dive spots in the Caribbean such as Bonaire, to legendary Roatan off Honduras and even to the Maldives. My clients love that I “talk the talk” and understand their interests and priorities. One of my favorite challenges was for clients on a Mediterranean cruise who wanted to dive, rather than tour, at various ports of call.  They told me diving off Santorini was a true highlight!

  Whether you want maximum bottom time or just a dive or two…you’re a keen diver and your partner would rather shop, spa or golf…or you’re with the family and want to introduce the kids to the magical world of snorkeling, I’ve planned exactly what you are looking for. From the Caribbean, the Red Sea to Tahiti, Australia and the Cook Islands, I have the expertise you are looking for.

   More recently I’ve discovered the delights and detective work of genealogy travel.  Helping clients plan a trip to learn more about their roots is incredibly rewarding – and the clients love it! Scotland is very popular, but the British Isles and Ireland are, not surprisingly, high up on the list. And I’ve helped clients learn more about their ancestors in Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Jamaica.

  Last but far from least, I've fallen in love with European river cruising. Sailing along at a leisurely pace (with no waves to worry about!) admiring the castles and the scenery, then disembarking to discover culture, cuisine, wine and mingle with the locals.  Now that’s a great way to travel! I’ve loved my own cruises and know you will too.

TICO

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is a self-managed, not-for-profit corporation, responsible for administration and enforcement of the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05 on behalf of the Ontario government.   In addition, TICO administers an industry-financed Travel Compensation Fund. TICO is a wholly financed by registration fees paid by Ontario travel agencies and travel wholesalers. The Travel Industry Compensation Fund is financed entirely by Ontario travel industry registrants through contributions based on their sales revenues. The Travel Industry Council of Ontario's mission is to promote a fair and informed marketplace where consumers can be confident in their travel purchases. What does this mean for you? OPC

The Office de la protection du consommateur is a body of the Government of Québec that was established in 1971. We provide services to consumers and merchants.

The Office de la protection du consommateur:

  • protects consumers and monitors the application of the laws and regulations under its responsibility;
  • Informs consumers collectively and individually, educates them and receives their complaints;
  • fosters concerted action among stakeholders of the consumer market (consumers, merchants and the associations representing them);
  • represents the interests of consumers in dealings with public organizations operating in Québec, Canada and worldwide.

CPBC

Consumer Protection BC promotes a fair marketplace for BC consumers and businesses. We were established in 2004 as a not-for-profit corporation to strengthen consumer protection in BC. We operate using a cost recovery model and we are the only organization of its kind in Canada.

Consumer Protection BC's mandate is to:

  • Deliver consumer protection services throughout British Columbia;
  • Promote fairness and understanding in the marketplace; and
  • Enforce consumer protection laws in BC.
