Day 1: Adelaide (Tarndanya)

The wine and festival capital of Australia, Adelaide/Tarndanya is a place to experience the buzz, culture, and convenience of a city without the frustrations. The River Torrens/Karrawirra Parri cuts through the city. The city centre, surrounded by parklands, is a charming blend of historic buildings, wide streets, groovy shops, and a huge variety of street cafes and restaurants. Visit the largest undercover market in the southern hemisphere and taste the best of South Australia at the Adelaide Central Market, or enjoy a ride on Adelaide’s tram from the city centre to the historic yet vibrant beachside suburb of Glenelg. The city also provides a great launching point to the many attractions surrounding Adelaide, including world class wine regions, the Australian Outback, Kangaroo Island, the Eyre Peninsula, and much more.

Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets, an IHG Hotel is superbly located in the centre of Adelaide, just moments away from Central Markets and Chinatown. Housed on the site of a former textile factory, the property’s “Raw and Refined” design ethos celebrates the neighbourhood’s commercial past with an exciting blend of heritage-listed and modern architecture, as well as eye-catching contemporary design features. The neighbourhood boasts a vibrant culinary and produce hub, with a strong sense of character and community, nestled into an eclectic pocket in the heart of the city. The modern colour palette is brightened by natural light and colourful wall art, inspired by neighbourhood festival posters. The guest rooms are compact, but space is well utilised. Locally influenced decor is celebrated throughout the guest rooms. RoofClimb – Shared Experience This 2 hour tour provides you with the opportunity to climb a section of the Adelaide Oval's roof. Your trained RoofClimb Leaders will guide you across the highest points of the Oval’s unique roofline. Travelling from the Western Stand to the Riverbank Stand on a purpose-built path. The experience will offer breathtaking views and a unique perspective of the city of Adelaide. Witness blue sky in every direction and marvel at some of Adelaide's most recognized landmarks. At the conclusion of your tour, make your own way back to your accommodation.

Day 2: Adelaide (Tarndanya)

This 1.5 hour Welcome to Adelaide walking tour provides an orientation of Adelaide’s main streets and key landmarks. From major shopping areas to key nightlife and food spots, gain understanding of the city by a born-and-raised local. You will stop by important spots including Adelaide Arcade and Parliament House, before finishing outside the famous Adelaide Central Market – an essential Adelaide experience. Upon completion of your tour, make your own way to your accommodation.

This afternoon is at leisure to relax and explore on your own.

Day 3: Kangaroo Island

Travel to Kangaroo Island. Island Life tour.

Includes: Pick up and drop off from Kingscote Airport, 2 x full day shared touring, all admission fees and on island transfers, 2 x lunch, 2 x breakfast, 2 x dinner and 2 nights’ accommodation.

You will be met by your guide at Kingscote Airport and join a full day sightseeing tour.

Island Life Tour: Travel through the Island’s most productive country to the north coast. Walk through the bush with your guide – through strangely shaped trees learning what makes that noise, whose tracks are those, and who left THAT little pile there? Look for small wallabies almost extinct on the mainland, a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island and a variety of other birds, plants and animals. Break for lunch at a private bush camp and enjoy a delicious meal featuring King George whiting (local sea fish), fresh salads and fine South Australian wines. At Seal Bay Conservation Park take a private tour with your guide among Australian sea-lions on a beautiful sandy beach – an experience similar to that of the Galapagos. Watch pups nursing or playing in the surf, see old bulls bearing the scars of territorial disputes and learn about their unique breeding biology.

Arrive at your accommodation late afternoon and enjoy dinner which has been included this evening.

Day 4: Kangaroo Island

Flinders Chase Focus tour.

Enjoy breakfast this morning before being met by your guide for a full day sightseeing tour.Flinders Chase Focus Tour: Begin the day travelling through some of the fire-affected landscapes of Kangaroo Island, which are recovering quickly following generous winter rains. Learn about fire ecology and how nature deals with fire. Some of our native flora species only flower following fire! Travel into Flinders Chase National Park and explore the massive shapes of Remarkable Rocks, a natural sculpture perched impossibly on top a granite dome plunging into the ocean Break for an elegant picnic lunch in the bush, or if weather permits, on a spectacular clifftop. Evidence of the power of the Southern Ocean swell continues at Admirals Arch – a coastal grotto which provides a haul out for a large colony of Long-nosed fur seals which swim effortlessly through crashing waves. Return to your accommodation late afternoon and enjoy dinner which has been included this evening.

Day 5: Adelaide (Tarndanya)

Travel to Adelaide. Board Your Train.
Accommodations: Gold Twin Cabin.
Includes: Breakfast. Transfer to Kingscote Airport. Private Car/Driver Domestic Airport to Adelaide City Centre. Indian Pacific Rail Journey includes all meals (including Welcome Dinner at Adelaide before departure), selected wines and beverages, selected off train excursions.

Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before your transfer to Kingscote Airport for your return flight to Adelaide. This afternoon is at leisure to relax and explore on your own. You will then be transferred to the Railway Station to board your Indian Pacific Rail Journey.

Step aboard the Indian Pacific this evening and acquaint yourself with the friendly staff and facilities on board. Mingle with fellow travellers in the Outback Explorer Lounge before heading to your cabin for a nightcap and a good nights sleep. During the next 24 hours you will travel Australia's longest single stretch of railway across the Nullarbor.

Day 6: On board the Indian Pacific

Wake up and marvel the raw beauty of the Nullarbor Plain. Taking its name from the Latin meaning 'no trees', the ancient Nullarbor conjures the sense of limitless time and space. Arrive in Rawlinna this evening for a short stop to enjoy the brilliant desert stars. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant.

Day 7: Perth (Boorloo)

Arrive Perth on board the Indian Pacific.

The Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is located in the city centre, opposite a free bus city bus stop and Perth train station only a block away. There is a range of world-class restaurants, hidden laneway bars, shopping precincts and parklands in the surrounding area. The hotel offers contemporary styled spacious guest rooms over 8 floors.

Evening Eat Drink Walk Perth - Bar Tour: Enjoy an evening journey through Perth’s burgeoning food and beverage scene on this 3 hour experience. Go where the locals hang out. Walk a little, eat a little and drink a little as you discover the bars and restaurants in the city centre in heritage buildings, laneways and other out-of-the-way watering holes. You will visit three unique venues, spending about 40 minutes in each venue. This will give you plenty of time to enjoy the complimentary food or beverage on arrival at each venue and discover the stories of the buildings you are visiting. During the time between venues, you will be guided through sections of the city and discover other venues, thriving street art, laneways and intriguing spaces. You will also learn some of the fun history of the city as you wind your way through downtown. The tour includes two drinks and grazing food, access to drink specials.

Day 8: Rottnest Island

Full Day Experience

Includes: Breakfast. Hotel pick up, return ferry transfers to Rottnest Island, Rottnest Island admission fee, bike with helmet & snorkel hire, lunch at Frankie's on Otto and Swan River Cruise with Commentary.

Full Day Experience Rottnest w/Bike & Snorkel & Frankies Lunch – Shared Tour: This 8 hour tour provides you with the opportunity to explore Rottnest at your own pace, by land and by sea, on this self-guided tour. The package comes with a bike so you can ride to the many secluded bays and beaches. Your bike will be waiting for you at the jetty when you arrive, so you can take off right away. Feel the breeze through your hair as you ride from place to place, soaking in the breathtaking views that Rottnest has to offer at every turn. Explore the many secluded bays and wonderful beaches, stop for a picnic, or just find a nice quiet spot to take a quokka selfie. Experience the crystal clear waters and diverse underwater ecosystems that surround Rottnest. Return to Perth via ferry.

Day 9: Perth (Boorloo)
