DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Brisbane (Meeanjin)

Arrive Brisbane

The river city of Brisbane/Meeanjin is a modern and diverse sub-tropical metropolis. As Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane offers visitors a stimulating city experience in a warm, friendly and relaxed environment. It is well serviced by city infrastructure, including cultural precincts of theatres, museums and international cuisine. World class sporting venues, conference facilities, parklands and river walks create a vibrant metropolitan city. Brisbane is Australia’s third largest city, and home to nearly two million culturally diverse people. Visitors can enjoy the temperate year round climate at one of the city’s many outdoor areas including South Bank Parklands or Queen Street Mall shopping precincts.

Day 2: Brisbane (Meeanjin)

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary & Twilight Climb

Today board your boat and leave the city behind on a relaxing 1.25 hour cruise to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Enjoy an informative commentary from your captain and morning tea as you glide along Brisbane’s waterfront, passing from the bustle of the city’s skyscrapers to leafy suburbs with waterside mansions. Arriving at Lone Pine where you will have time to explore the world’s largest koala sanctuary, with more than 130 Koalas on site. Have a Koala Moment (no hold), take photos with the adorable marsupials (own expense), and perhaps catch a talk by the koala’s keepers. Discover the Platypus House or check out the owls, kites and sea eagles at the popular Birds of Prey show. You can also feed the kangaroos and wallabies or watch a sheepdog show where you see the hardworking dogs round up a herd of sheep, responding to their master’s whistles, calls and hand signals. Then sit back and relax on your 1.25 hour journey back to Brisbane city.

Let’s go mate! Come and visit many beautiful scenes from Bluey’s home town – Brisbane! Your 6 hour tour focuses on seeing as many sights from the show as possible. From the beautiful riverside parklands, to the lookouts, to the leafy suburbs with homes of that unique ‘Queenslander’ architecture. And you will see why Bluey’s Brisbane is one of the World’s Greatest Places, according to TIME Magazine 2023!

Your 6 hour tour includes a visit to Bluey’s World – a 40,000 square foot, unique, immersive 70 minute experience for anyone that loves Bluey. Wackadoo! Play games and wonder though rooms from Blue’s house! It’s gotta be done! You will drive the tree-lined hills of the suburbs around Bluey’s home. See many beautiful ‘Bluey style homes’ aka heritage ‘Queenslander’ homes. Visit Mt Coot-tha Lookout with stunning views over Brisbane and out to the islands - instrumental in the Heelers getting their house back in ‘The Sign’ episode. See for yourself where Bingo and Bluey create so many games in pretty parks and playgrounds such as New Farm Park and Kangaroo Point. From many episodes including ‘Shadowlands’, ‘Turtleboy’ and ‘Wagonride’! And we cannot miss ‘Statue World’ from the episode ‘Show & Tell’. Enjoy a delicious lunch and organic coffee or juice form in what appears to be a cute local café from Bluey episodes. See why South Bank is the scene from numerous episodes! See the famous ‘city beach’, river walk, parks, ‘Epicurious Garden’, lively café scene, and see the ‘Wheel of Brisbane’. A perfect spot for an ice cream, just like ‘Ice Cream’ and even bin-chicken spotting!  And “The creek is……..BEAUTIFUL!!” Yes, it is! Walk along what appears to be ‘The Creek’! At the completion of your tour, you will be transferred to your Brisbane city accommodation.

Day 4: Brisbane (Meeanjin)

Hamilton Island is nestled amongst the Whitsunday Islands at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Set amidst pristine surroundings, guests at Hamilton are spoilt for choice with a multitude of activities and accommodation options to suit the most discerning traveller. Of course, there is also the option of doing nothing at all and simply just enjoying island life by laying around one of the pools or by relaxing on the beach. Hamilton Island is also a gateway to other gems in the Whitsundays including Heart Reef, Hill Inlet and Whitehaven Beach.

This property is located on Hamilton Island, directly opposite Catseye Beach. The hotel features extremely spacious, well appointed rooms which overlook either tropical gardens or the breath-taking vista of the Coral Sea. Each room has a furnished balcony. Island facilities include the world-class Hamilton Island Golf Club, the architectural wonder that is the multipurpose Hamilton Island Yacht Club and a wide range of activities.
